Visiting Our Campus

We welcome parent volunteers and families considering enrolling at Monticello Montessori to visit our campus. For the safety of our students and staff, we request that all visitors adhere to our guidelines.

Visitor Guidelines

  • We require all visitors to check in at the front office.
  • We welcome visitors who wish to observe classroom activity through the viewing windows any school day between 8:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • If you would like to go into a classroom to observe, please coordinate in advance with our office.
  • If you would like to volunteer in a classroom, please contact the teacher ahead of time to schedule your time and activities.

Observation Guidelines

  • We will find you a place from which to observe.
  • Please feel free to ask for a Parent Observation form from the office to help you notice important information.
  • Please do not enter rooms or move about hallways without prior arrangements.
  • Do not interrupt working children or attempt to engage children in conversation about their work.
  • If a child attempts to engage you in conversation, be polite, but direct him/her to return to his/her work.
  • If circumstances allow, the teacher may answer brief questions; however, many times we will need to answer your questions outside the classroom or at another time. Please do not interrupt instruction to address your concerns.
  • Please be discreet about what you observe and maintain confidentiality.
